Agrobiological Parameters and Grain Physics

The standout feature of «Lotos» is its early maturity. The 70–85 day ripening period allows the crop to avoid the heat stress and drought conditions typical of late summer, which often compromise longer-cycle varieties. The physical properties of the ear and grain are balanced for commercial yield optimization:

• 1000-Seed Weight: 40–45 grams, providing robust initial germination energy.
• Morphotype: Short-stemmed plants (60–80 cm), significantly increasing lodging resistance—a critical factor when applying intensive mineral fertilization schemes.
• Biochemistry: Nitrogenous substance (protein) content in dry matter is 11–13%, making it a highly valued option for feed production.

Phytosanitary Resilience
