Barley Branth

Consistent yields with minimal fungicide intervention

The «Brant» barley is designed for farmers who prioritize cost-efficiency and want to avoid excessive crop maintenance. From an operational standpoint, you will value the predictability of this spring barley variety under field conditions. The plants reach a height of 100–120 cm, forming a sturdy stand that is easy to manage during harvest. Developed by the IКSP NAAS, this variety is optimized for the diverse agricultural conditions in Ukraine.

Built-in biological protection

One of the biggest challenges in field management is mitigating the impact of diseases that erode yield potential. «Brant» significantly reduces the burden of crop protection:

• Powdery mildew: the variety shows robust resistance, preventing rapid outbreaks.
• Helminthosporium and rust: pathogens struggle to establish themselves in these crops.
• Brown rust: high genetic resistance levels allow you to cut back on fungicide applications without compromising grain quality.

Field performance and maintenance

Managing a «Brant» field is straightforward: the crop is not overly sensitive to soil types, and its height profile ensures comfortable operation of heavy machinery throughout the growth cycle. You save time on scouting and monitoring because the variety demonstrates excellent survival rates even during weather-related stress. This is a dependable spring barley that performs its job consistently, delivering predictable commodity yields without unnecessary manual intervention or complex maintenance routines.
