Barley Amulet

Czech Breeding Excellence: The 'Amulet' Barley Profile

The 'Amulet' barley variety, developed by Oseva Eximpo Praha S.R.O., represents the hallmark of Czech breeding: focus on durability and robust field performance. Designed for growers who prioritize consistency over experimental yields, this variety stands out due to its aggressive natural defense mechanisms against a wide range of common cereal pathogens.

Advanced Pathogen Resistance

The primary edge of 'Amulet' is its comprehensive resistance profile. It effectively mitigates the risks associated with:

• Fungal diseases: Alternaria, Fusarium, and Cylindrosporium.
• Leaf spotting: Mycosphaerella, brown spot, Septoria, and Pyrenophora.
• Rusts: Yellow rust and brown wheat rust.
• Powdery mildew and root rots.

By limiting the impact of these diseases, 'Amulet' helps growers optimize their crop protection programs. A key operational requirement is to respect the 30-day pre-harvest interval (PHI) after the final treatment. Following this protocol ensures not only a healthy harvest but also compliance with high-quality grain standards.

Is 'Amulet' the right fit for your fields?

This variety is highly recommended for operations located in regions with fluctuating moisture levels or high infection pressure. Its ability to withstand Septoria and various rusts makes it a dependable performer in years when environmental conditions favor fungal outbreaks. 'Amulet' does not require exceptional conditions to thrive, but it rewards good agronomic practices with reliable yields. For farmers seeking a variety that balances low vulnerability with stable output, 'Amulet' acts as a strategic asset in the crop rotation plan.
