Description MONTI
The Monti eggplant is a large-fruited, early-maturing variety intended for cultivation in open ground and under film coverings. It takes 75-80 days from seedling planting to technical maturity. The plant is semi-spreading, about 60-64 cm tall, with large dark green leaves and stems with intense anthocyanin coloring. The leaves are weakly wrinkled with wavy edges, giving the plant a decorative appearance. The fruits have a round, slightly ribbed shape, covered with a glossy black-purple skin, and the flesh is white, tender, and without bitterness.

The mass of the fruits varies from 350 to 500 grams, allowing a single eggplant to prepare a full meal for the whole family. The shape and size of the fruits make the variety universal for various types of culinary processing. The absence of bitterness in the flesh and high taste quality make this variety particularly attractive to consumers. Additionally, thorns on the calyx of the fruits are absent or occur very rarely, which facilitates harvest collection.

The Monti variety is distinguished by the combination of early maturity and large fruit size, as well as a prolonged fruiting period. The yield of marketable fruits in open ground reaches 4.2 kg per square meter in southern regions. These characteristics make the Monti eggplant an excellent choice for cultivation both in personal subsidiary holdings and on suburban plots.
