Samanta

Samanta is a popular annual from the aster genus, known for its compact upright form and vibrant colors. Bushes reach a height of up to 50 cm, making the plant convenient for use in group plantings, cut flowers, and small gardens. Flowers are large, up to 15 cm in diameter, with a lilac-pink hue, creating an impressive visual accent.

Flowering begins in mid-August and continues until the onset of cold weather, providing a long decorative period during the summer season. For successful cultivation, seeds should be sown in March–April in a greenhouse or hotbed, and then transplanted via seedlings or directly into the soil in April–May. At an optimal temperature of 18–21 °C, seedlings appear within 6–15 days after sowing.

Samanta prefers well-lit areas and nutrient-rich soil, where it exhibits the best growth characteristics. Care includes regular loosening, weed removal, and moderate watering, especially during periods of active growth. Thanks to its compactness and bright coloring, the plant fits easily into both small pot compositions and larger garden ensembles.
