Aster Mavka

The Pride of Ukrainian Selection

The 'Mavka' aster is the result of meticulous work by breeders at the Uman National University of Horticulture. This variety was developed to meet the needs of professional florists seeking a plant that combines the grandeur of garden decor with impeccable cut flower quality. In the Ukrainian climate, 'Mavka' has established itself as a benchmark annual capable of turning an ordinary flowerbed into a work of art.

Aesthetics and Dimensions

This variety belongs to the annual category, completing its life cycle in a single season. The plant forms a robust bush ranging from 50 to 80 centimeters in height, making it a perfect choice for the background of floral arrangements or garden zoning. The true highlight is the inflorescence: the flower diameter reaches 10–15 centimeters, while the pure, deep white color gives them a solemn and sophisticated appearance.

Practical Application

• Floristry: Thanks to sturdy stems and high petal density, 'Mavka' is one of the premier varieties for designer bouquets, retaining freshness in a vase for an extended period.
• Landscape Design: When planted in groups, this aster creates the effect of a dense white mass, visually expanding the space and adding elegance to the garden throughout the second half of summer and autumn.

It is important to note that 'Mavka' is a thermophilic annual that does not survive winter in open ground. Success in cultivation depends directly on soil quality and consistent watering during the budding period. By choosing this variety, you are investing in proven domestic genetics adapted to the regional climate.
