Aster Flamir Red / Flámir červená

Technical Specifications

The 'Flamir Red' aster is a horticultural selection specifically adapted to regional climatic conditions. As an annual, it demonstrates high growth vigor, reaching a height of 50–80 cm. The structural integrity of the stem is a key technical feature, providing the necessary support for large, heavy blooms, making it an excellent choice for cut flower production and landscape durability.

Inflorescence Mechanics

The peony-like flower, measuring 8–10 cm in diameter, features a dense arrangement of ray florets curving inward. This architectural design serves as a functional barrier against moisture retention, effectively reducing the risk of fungal decay during humid periods. The intense red and pink coloration is the result of concentrated anthocyanin levels in the petal epidermis, which maintains color vibrancy even under prolonged solar exposure.

Application and Field Use

• Cut Flower Production: The combination of stem rigidity and dense petal structure ensures optimal post-harvest life and visual appeal.
• Landscape Design: Due to its 50–80 cm height, this variety provides excellent depth for mid-to-back border arrangements.
• Border Utility: Provides high uniformity in height, making it ideal for creating cohesive, block-colored borders.

As an annual species, 'Flamir Red' does not possess winter hardiness. Its life cycle is strictly seasonal, concluding with the first frost. Successful cultivation requires nutrient-rich soil and consistent moisture management during the rapid budding phase to achieve the maximum flower diameter potential.
