Aster Uman Light Pink

Why 'Umanska Svitlo-Rozheva' is the Landscape Designer's Choice

While many perennial asters struggle to match the vividness of annual varieties, the 'Umanska Svitlo-Rozheva' (Uman Light Pink), developed by the Uman National University of Horticulture, challenges this convention. Its core competitive advantage lies in its sophisticated bicolor palette, providing depth and volume that solid-colored varieties simply cannot replicate.

Growth Habit and Garden Performance

• Perfect Compactness: Standing at 30-50 cm, this cultivar is the perfect height for garden edging. Unlike taller asters, it doesn't require staking and maintains its structural integrity even during heavy rain.
• Perennial Reliability: As a hardy perennial, it saves you the labor of annual sowing, forming dense, neat clumps that gain character year after year.
• Distinctive Aesthetics: The bicolor petals create soft transitions in color, making the planting look curated and high-end.

Who is this variety for?

This cultivar is designed for those who value predictability and elegance in landscape design. It excels as a border plant or as the front layer of a mixed flower bed. Its primary strength is its adaptation to the regional climate, ensuring higher survival rates than foreign hybrids. The main trade-off is its specific requirement for well-drained soil and full sun; like many asters, it is sensitive to waterlogging. By choosing 'Umanska Svitlo-Rozheva', you are supporting Ukrainian plant science while ensuring your garden features a robust, low-maintenance, and visually striking display throughout the season.
