Aster Narechena

The Heritage of the Gryshko National Botanical Garden

The 'Narechena' aster is a distinguished achievement of the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine. Known for its sophisticated aesthetics and reliability, this variety represents the pinnacle of Ukrainian breeding, offering gardeners a classic annual that combines elegance with resilient biology.

Key Characteristics and Performance

Growing to a height of 50–80 cm, 'Narechena' is structurally versatile, fitting perfectly into various landscaping layouts. Its hallmark feature is the large, snow-white flower, measuring 10–15 cm in diameter, which serves as a striking centerpiece in any garden setting.

• Robust Health: One of the primary advantages of this variety is its genetic resistance to root rot and blackleg (damping-off). This natural resilience makes it significantly easier to manage, reducing the need for chemical interventions.
• Practical Application: Its long, sturdy stems and substantial blooms make it a top-tier choice for professional floristry and cut flower arrangements, while its clean white color adds a formal elegance to summer flowerbeds.

While 'Narechena' is an annual that does not overwinter, its exceptional decorative impact throughout the season makes it a favorite among growers who prioritize consistent, research-backed quality. It remains a staple of the Ukrainian floral market, valued for its predictable performance and undeniable visual appeal.
