Astra 'Nastenka' is a popular annual with a compact, upright bush reaching 50-60 cm in height. The flowers are of medium size, up to 10 cm in diameter, featuring an attractive blue-violet hue. The plant begins blooming in mid-to-late July and continues to delight with its flowers until the onset of cold weather, making it an excellent choice for long-lasting garden decoration.
Astra 'Nastenka' can be grown via seedlings or direct sowing into the ground. Seeds are recommended to be sown in March-April in a greenhouse or hotbed, where seedlings appear within 10-15 days at a temperature of 18-21 °C. Sowing can also be carried out in April-May directly into open ground. For successful growth and abundant flowering, the astra prefers well-lit sunny areas with nutrient-rich soil.
