Tulip Holland Happening

The Iconic Choice in Parrot Tulips

«Holland Happening» has earned its reputation as a standout in the parrot tulip category, blending dramatic aesthetic appeal with a robust physiological profile. Unlike many high-maintenance exotic cultivars, this variety was developed to bridge the gap between ornamental beauty and agricultural reliability, making it a favorite for both landscape professionals and commercial flower growers.

Resilience and Genetic Health

The primary advantage of the «Holland Happening» hybrid is its refined resistance to common bulb diseases, which often plague more delicate parrot-class varieties. This focus on genetic strength allows for more predictable cultivation outcomes:

• High resistance to Verticillium wilt;
• Complete tolerance to Fusarium wilt;
• Strong defense against Tomato mosaic virus;
• Effective resistance to Cladosporium.

Market Performance and Utilization

Blooming in the mid-season, this tulip provides a reliable focal point for spring displays. Its distinctive deep red petals feature the classic heavily fringed, ruffled edges of the parrot family, yet the plant remains structurally sound. With an average height that balances perfectly between foreground and mid-ground borders, it is highly sought after for its ability to maintain its elaborate shape despite variable weather conditions.

For the professional market, «Holland Happening» serves as a benchmark for cut flower performance. Its durability in vases and unique visual texture make it a staple for premium floral arrangements, proving that high-end aesthetics do not have to come at the cost of plant health.
