Aster NAINA

Naina Aster: The Professional Choice for Cut Flowers

In the competitive world of annual flowers, the "Naina" aster stands out due to its specific breeding profile. Developed by the I.V. Michurin Federal Scientific Center in collaboration with experts Olga Kuzicheva and Ligiia Ustinskova, this variety is engineered to tackle the main challenge of commercial aster production: Fusarium wilt.

Technical Edge and Aesthetics

• Needle-Petal Sophistication: The standout feature is its distinctive needle-like petal structure. With a bloom diameter of 10–15 cm, the flowers offer a dense, rich look. Available in red, pink, and vibrant bicolors, they provide excellent visual impact for floral designers.
• Structure for Professional Use: Reaching a height of 50–80 cm, Naina features sturdy stems that prevent the plant from toppling, making it an ideal choice for both garden borders and professional cut flower harvesting.
• Disease Resistance: The primary breeding goal was resilience against Fusarium, the most devastating fungal disease for asters. This makes Naina a reliable performer in various soil conditions where other varieties might succumb to wilt.

Who Should Grow Naina?

Naina is designed for growers who prioritize predictability. While it is a classic annual that requires yearly planting, the payoff is a high-quality product that holds up exceptionally well in arrangements. Its robust growth habit makes it suitable for mid-tier garden borders, but its true potential is realized in fresh-cut production.

By selecting Naina, you are choosing a balanced hybrid/variety that doesn't sacrifice aesthetic flair for durability. It is the optimal choice for those who need a striking, needle-type flower that maintains its integrity from the garden bed to the vase.
