Tulip Kareol

The Resilient Choice for Modern Gardens

The 'Careol' tulip is a standout choice in the early double category, bridging the gap between delicate aesthetic beauty and rugged agricultural performance. Unlike many decorative tulips that require intensive care and protection, 'Careol' brings a level of disease resistance that is rarely seen in such showy, double-flowered varieties.

Key Features and Strengths

• Superior Disease Defense: The most significant advantage of this cultivar is its built-in resistance to common pathogens. Its genetics effectively withstand Peronospora, Phomopsis, Phoma, and sunflower rust, making it a low-maintenance option for any grower.
• Low-Profile Durability: Because it is a low-growing variety, it naturally resists stem breakage during spring storms and high winds. This eliminates the need for staking, making it an ideal candidate for exposed garden areas.
• Voluminous Blooms: The bright yellow petals form a dense, lush, double-layered structure. It offers a high-impact visual display that remains intact even after light rain, maintaining its ornamental appeal for a longer duration.

Who is this tulip for? 'Careol' is not intended for the tall vase market, but it excels in landscape architecture. It is perfect for professional landscapers and home gardeners looking to create dense, vibrant foregrounds, borders, or container displays. Its primary strength lies in its ability to survive and thrive without intensive chemical intervention, ensuring a bright, yellow carpet of flowers even in challenging spring conditions.
