Description MAVR
Tomato «Black Maur» is a medium-maturing semi-determinate variety that ripens 120–125 days after planting. Bushes reach a height of 1–1.2 meters and form large clusters with 18 or more fruits. The fruits have a plum shape, weighing from 30 to 50 grams, with a characteristic brownish-brown tint and blackness at the stem. The tomato flesh is dense, sweet, and contains little liquid, giving them a rich taste and aroma. The variety is distinguished by high yield and resistance to common tomato diseases, such as fusarium and phytophthora. Thanks to the dense skin, the fruits withstand transportation and long-term storage well, and do not crack during canning. This makes «Black Maur» an excellent choice for whole fruit canning, freezing, pickling, and marinating. Tomatoes retain their taste and aroma even after freezing, expanding their culinary usage possibilities. Although the fruits are not too juicy, they are perfect for fresh consumption, especially in salads, where their unusual color and shape add originality to dishes. Tomatoes can also be used to prepare ragout, smoothies, and juices, adding an interesting taste tint. The variety is suitable for growing both in open ground and in greenhouses, making it universal and convenient for various climatic conditions.
