Description Uralits
Early autumn variety from the Sverdlovsk Experimental Garden Station. Obtained by pollinating the Chinese variety 'Voskovka' with a mixture of pollen from 'Anis' rose-striped and 'Ukrainka Saratovskaya'. Author: P. A. Dibrova. One of the most winter-hardy varieties. Approved for the Volga-Vyatka region, widely distributed across all Urals provinces, partially in Western Siberia, and promising for the entire northern belt.

A vigorous, long-lived tree with a strong, upright, pyramidal (often narrowly pyramidal) crown. Main branches have brown bark, usually branch off the trunk at a right angle and then bend and grow vertically, gradually spreading sideways under the weight of fruit over time. Even at sharp angles from the trunk, the crown retains high strength. Fruit set is spur-type — on spurs and short branches, beginning from two- to three-year-old wood.

Shoots are straight, dark brown, densely hairy, with short internodes. Leaves are green, matte, medium-sized, with a rounded base and wedge-shaped apex, finely doubly serrated, half-leaves flat, slightly folded. Petiole is short, stipules are small, awl-shaped.
Flowers are medium-sized, cup-shaped, white, with stigmas higher than anthers. Buds are pink.

Fruits are small (45–60 g), one-seeded, truncated conical shape, with smooth surface. Skin is smooth and dry. Main color is creamy, with a bright carmine blush streaking over most of the fruit. Calyx is narrow, without rusting, peduncle of medium length. Receptacle is small, calyx closed.
Flesh is light creamy, juicy, with good, sharp, sour-sweet flavor. Chemical composition: soluble solids 14.7% (up to 17.2%), total sugars — 11.7% (up to 14.0%), titratable acids — 1.10% (up to 1.54%), ascorbic acid — 13.5 mg/100g (up to 21.6 mg/100g), P-active substances (catechins) — 300.6 mg/100g (up to 404.9 mg/100g).
Early autumn variety, fruit ripens at the beginning of September, storage — up to 1.5 months.
Fruits are consumed fresh and are suitable for processing into juices, compotes, and jams.
Self-sterile variety.
Trees begin fruiting on the 5th–7th year after grafting and produce marketable yields within 2–3 years. Fruit set is regular, with annual yield increases.
Uralits has outstanding winter hardiness, high field resistance to scab, and is low-maintenance.

Advantages of the variety: high winter hardiness, disease resistance, compact crown, attractive and tasty fruits, suitable for fresh consumption and various processing methods.

Disadvantages of the variety: short shelf life (1–1.5 months), relatively small fruit size.
