Winter variety developed at the Samara Experimental Station for Horticulture. Breeders: S. P. Kedrin, T. I. Kedrina, A. A. Kuznetsov. Elite seedling selected from the family Yellow Ribbed x Zhigulevskoe in 1977. The variety has passed State Variety Testing.
Trees are vigorous. Young trees have a pyramidal crown shape. Main branches are thick, dark brown, sometimes branch off from the central leader at an acute angle. Bud-forming capacity is below average. Bud break is high. Main types of fruiting structures in young age are fruiting spurs, spear-like, and ring-like formations.
Shoots are dark brown, slightly curved, medium thickness, with significant pubescence at shoot tips. Leaves are large, elongated-oval, short-tapered, green, wrinkled, matte. Leaf blade is concave, curved upward, often serrated, with medium pubescence. Leaf margin is doubly-serrated-toothed. Petioles are sickle-shaped.
Flowering is early, coincides with Zhigulevskoe variety.
Fruits are medium-sized (125 g, maximum 280 g), flat-round, one-dimensional. Broad ridges may be present on the surface, prominently expressed near the calyx. Skin is slightly warty, glossy, medium thickness, oily. Color is yellow-lime with striped-red blush, often over the entire fruit. Under-skin spots are numerous, medium-sized, barely noticeable. Ripe fruits are very ornamental. Fruit stalks are thin, emerge from a broad, medium-depth cup with warty, often corky edges. Calyx is half-open, fits into a deep, medium-sized saucer with folded edges. Seed cavity is closed or half-closed, medium-sized, kidney-shaped.
Flesh is creamy, medium density, tender, fine-grained, juicy, slightly acidic-sweet flavor.
Begins fruiting at 7-8 years after grafting. Fruit production is annual, not strongly periodic. At 9-10 years after planting, yield is 80 centners per hectare.
Fruits are harvested from September 15-20, can be stored in storage until February-March and longer.
Variety is winter-hardy. Resistance of fruits and leaves to scab is above average.
Advantages of the variety: attractive, marketable fruits, good winter hardiness of trees.
