Apple Daryunok Valeriya

Genetic Potential and Agronomic Profile

"Darunok Valerii" is a product of professional selection from the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine. This is a winter apple variety designed for stable fruiting in temperate climates. Its primary advantage is high resistance to scab (Venturia inaequalis), a common pathogen that often limits yields in both commercial and private orchards.

Tree Architecture and Productivity

The tree is classified as medium-sized, which simplifies agricultural tasks such as pruning, pest control applications, and fruit harvesting. Its rounded crown shape promotes uniform light distribution, preventing internal shading and ensuring high-quality fruit coloration. The variety exhibits robust winter hardiness, allowing the tree to withstand seasonal temperature fluctuations without significant damage.

Technical Fruit Specifications

The fruits weigh between 150 and 200 grams, meeting the commercial standard for both fresh market sales and long-term storage. The internal structure is characterized by firm, white flesh. This combination of physical properties ensures excellent storage shelf life, allowing the crop to maintain its commercial qualities well into mid-winter. "Darunok Valerii" demonstrates a balanced growth pattern, making it a preferred choice for growers who aim to minimize chemical inputs due to the variety's inherent resistance.
