Apple CHASHNIKOVSKOE

The 'Chashnikovskoe' apple variety is a winter variety developed at Lomonosov Moscow State University. The tree is of medium growth strength with an inversely pyramidal canopy of medium density, which ensures ease of care and harvest collection. The variety is distinguished by its high winter hardiness, making it particularly suitable for cultivation in the Central region of Russia, including the Moscow region and the Middle Belt.

The fruits of the 'Chashnikovskoe' variety have a medium size, weighing about 140 grams, with a correct conical or elongated-rounded shape and light yellow skin without coverage color. The flesh is white, dense, finely granular, juicy, and tender, with a harmonious sour-sweet taste that received a high tasting rating. The fruits ripen in early autumn and are characterized by a long storage period — more than 150 days, which allows them to be used fresh for a long time.

The variety is characterized by high yield, although it can be irregular, and medium precocity. The apple tree is resistant to scab and other common diseases, which reduces the need for intensive plant protection. Thanks to these qualities, 'Chashnikovskoe' is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking to obtain delicious and long-storing apples in moderate climate conditions.
