Anemone «Charm» – a perennial decorative shrub of the Ranunculaceae family, native to Japan. The plant reaches a height of 70 to 140 cm and is distinguished by its large leaf surface in the form of divided feathers, as well as bright bud petals that flutter even in a light breeze. Flowers appear from mid-summer and continue to delight the eye until mid-October, creating picturesque compositions in flower beds and mixborders together with roses, gladiolus, geranium, hosta, and hydrangea.
For successful growth, the anemone prefers light, fertile, loose, and well-drained soil. The plant does not tolerate direct sunlight throughout the day, so it is better to slightly shade it for abundant flowering. Regular watering – twice a week, in hot weather or during flowering, the amount of water can be increased. It is important to avoid over-wetting: the soil should remain moist, but not wet.
Care for the anemone is simple: you need to control the growth of weeds and loosen the soil around the bushes. After the flowering period, the stems are cut to ground level, while the basal leaves are retained – they are removed only in spring before the start of the new season. This approach promotes healthy development of the plant and preparation for the next season.
