Variety from the Crimean Experimental and Selection Station VIR. Obtained from open pollination of the Kubanskaya variety. Breeders: T. S. Vasilenko, N. N. Paunov, V. A. Zykov. Approved and recommended for widespread adoption in the North Caucasus region.
Tree of below-average growth vigor (3.2 m tall at 12 years), with an inverted pyramidal crown.
Shoots of medium size, egg-shaped, dark green, glossy, slightly wrinkled. Leaf blade concave, pubescent on the underside, margin smooth. Petiole of medium length, thick, pubescent.
Flowers large, small-cup-shaped, light pink, aromatic. Petals broadly oval, short. Flowering in the Krasnodar region occurs in the first decade of May.
Fruits large, weighing 370 g, oval-round. Skin tender, smooth, golden-yellow. Calyx medium-sized, blunt-conical; plate medium, broad, slightly wavy.
Flesh light cream-colored, slightly tart-sweet, with a pleasant aroma. Fruits contain 14% dry matter, 5.4% sugars, 0.67% titratable acids, 25 mg/100g ascorbic acid.
Variety for technical use. Sensory evaluation of processed products: 4.6 points.
Enters fruiting stage by the 3rd year after planting. Yield at 10 years: 47 kg per tree, or 28 t per hectare. Cold-hardy, resistant to diseases and pests.
Advantages of the variety: early fruiting, small crown volume, high fruit quality, high yield.
Disadvantages of the variety: slow increase in yield.
