Zucchini 'Tapir' is an early variety with a vegetation period of 45-50 days, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under cover. The bush-type plant with semi-erect stems forms 5-14 fruits per plant. Fruits are cylindrical, dark green with white stripes, about 30 cm long and 10 cm in diameter, weighing between 200 to 800 grams. The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 10-60 tons per hectare, and resistance to stressful growing conditions.
Sowing of 'Tapir' zucchini is carried out at a rate of 10-20 thousand seeds per hectare, using schemes of 70x70, 90x90 cm, as well as adapted for drip irrigation (90+50)x70 cm or 140x50 (up to 70) cm. The plant exhibits good transportability and long-term storage capability — up to two weeks, making it convenient for fresh market sales, culinary use, and processing.
The variety is produced in the Czech Republic by Moravo Seed. Thanks to its excellent taste and attractive appearance, zucchini 'Tapir' is popular among gardeners and farmers who prefer early, high-yielding zucchini varieties with resistance to adverse conditions.
