Description BELGORODSKIY 100
BELGORODSKIY 100 is a medium-maturing spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) variety with a vegetative period of 73 to 86 days. It is intended for cultivation in various regions, including the Kirov region, the Mari El Republic, the Northern and Northeastern forest-steppe of the Republic of Bashkortostan, as well as the Northwestern, Central, and Volga-Vyatka regions. The average yield of the variety varies by region and ranges from 23.2 to 43.5 centners per hectare. The mass of 1000 grains falls within the range of 38-55 grams, indicating good grain quality. Protein content in the grain reaches 10.2-13.3%, making this variety valuable for both fodder and grain-forage purposes.

The variety exhibits resistance to root rots, but is susceptible to helminthosporiosis and is highly susceptible to powdery bunt, which requires careful attention to plant protection. Barley BELGORODSKIY 100 is characterized by good adaptation to the climatic conditions of the specified regions; however, it is sensitive to extreme weather factors: cold, excess moisture, and lack of oxygen in the soil, as well as heat, which can negatively affect grain formation and quality.

Barley as a crop is widely used in food, technical, and fodder sectors due to its high starch and protein content. The BELGORODSKIY 100 variety is suitable for producing fodder and grain-forage, making it in demand among agricultural producers. When cultivating this variety, it is important to consider regional climatic features and ensure optimal growing conditions to achieve maximum yield and high grain quality.
