The soft winter wheat variety "Sribnianka" (Sribnianka) was registered in 2005 and belongs to the Scientific and Production Limited Liability Company "Agro-Inter". This variety belongs to agricultural cereals and is intended for cultivation under conditions suitable for soft winter wheat.
According to the results of research on the texture of the endosperm of various soft winter wheat varieties selected in Ukraine, "Sribnianka" stands out as a hard grain variety. This means that the grains of this variety have increased hardness compared to soft and medium-hard grain varieties, which may affect the technological properties of the grain during processing.
It is important to note that the study did not reveal a positive correlation between grain hardness and protein content, indicating that the hard grain characteristic of the "Sribnianka" variety is not necessarily associated with the protein level in the grain. This may be an advantage when selecting the variety for specific technological purposes and growing conditions.
