The plant is semi-upright with a cylindrical, white spike of medium length. Wax bloom on the upper internode is expressed from medium to strong, while on the spike it is weak. The vegetation period ranges from 324 to 356 days, allowing the variety to develop successfully in the conditions of the Western Siberia region, including the Novosibirsk Oblast and Altai Krai. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Lowland Subtaiga, Foreland Subtaiga, and Northern Forest-steppe Foreland zones of the Novosibirsk Oblast.

NOVOSIBIRSKAYA 51 possesses high winter hardiness, which is at the level or slightly below the Novosibirskaya 32 variety, as well as lodging resistance exceeding that of the same variety. Drought resistance corresponds to standard indicators for the region. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 33 to 45 grams, while grain naturalness reaches 766 g/l. Raw gluten content is approximately 30.2%, ensuring good baking qualities at the level of a good filler.
