Wheat Baletka

Winter wheat variety Baletka Elite is a high-yielding and stable variety intended for cultivation in steppe zones. This medium-early variety is distinguished by excellent winter hardiness and high drought tolerance, confirmed by ratings on a 9-point scale. The thousand-grain weight is 45-48 grams, indicating good grain quality. Plant height and resistance to lodging are also at a high level, ensuring reliable yields.

Baletka exhibits high tolerance to various diseases, including powdery mildew, septoria, Fusarium head blight, pyrenophorosis, brown and yellow rust, and cercosporosis root rots. Resistance levels to these diseases range from 7 to 8 points, making the variety a reliable choice for grain production. Due to these characteristics, the variety is recommended for bakery use and belongs to the premium class A.

The recommended seeding rate depends on planting dates: for early plantings it is 3.3–3.7 million viable seeds per hectare, for optimal plantings — 3.7–4.2 million, and for late plantings — 4.2–4.5 million seeds per hectare. The variety is characterized by rapid spring vegetation recovery and plasticity, enabling successful adaptation to changing growing conditions. The breeder of the variety is the company RAGT, registered in 2012 and widely used in grain farming.
