Watermelon TOUTAL

French Excellence in Watermelon Breeding

The «Total» watermelon, developed by the renowned French seed house Vilmorin-Mikado, stands as a premier choice for growers focused on high-quality, compact produce. Designed for efficiency and resilience, this hybrid addresses the modern market's demand for portable, individual-sized fruit while maintaining the rigorous standards associated with Vilmorin genetics.

Technical Specifications and Market Positioning

• Fruit Profile: The melons are characterized by a uniform, round shape with an average weight of 3.0 to 5.0 kg, perfectly aligning with the popular «mini-watermelon» category.
• Internal Quality: Featuring an attractive, vibrant pink flesh, this variety delivers the consistent, sweet flavor profile consumers expect from premium European breeding.
• Disease Resistance: A critical advantage of the «Total» hybrid is its robust genetic resistance to anthracnose. This intrinsic protection allows farmers to optimize their crop management, reducing the frequency of fungicide applications and lowering production risks.

As a result of years of research, this hybrid performs exceptionally well across various professional cultivation systems, including open field and row cover production. Its compact growth habit allows for higher plant density, maximizing yield per hectare. For producers, «Total» offers more than just reliable yields; it provides a high-market-value product that resists disease pressure, ensuring consistent returns through the harvest season.
