Florida Watermelon is a Crimson Sweet variety characterized by a mid-early maturity period of 68-72 days from seedling planting. Fruits have an oval shape and weigh between 10-12 kg, reaching up to 15-20 kg when grown on rootstocks. The rind is adorned with dark green stripes, while the flesh features a rich dark red color, making it attractive for fresh consumption and transportation.

The plant is known for its vigorous vigor and dense foliage, which effectively protects fruits from sunburn, particularly important for open-field and temporary shelter cultivation such as 'thermos' conditions.
