TERSKY EARLY is an early-maturing watermelon variety known for its high yield and excellent taste qualities. The period from germination to maturity ranges from 60 to 65 days, allowing for a quick harvest. The fruits have a round shape with smooth green or dark green rind and weigh between 2.5 and 6 kg. The flesh is bright red, juicy, and sweet, with a sugar content of 8.5% to 9.1%, making this variety particularly appealing to consumers.
The variety exhibits high resistance to diseases such as anthracnose and fusarium, and tolerates extreme environmental conditions well. This allows it to be grown both in open ground and under film, including in northern regions and the central belt. The plants are vining with a long main tendril, which promotes good fruit development. The yield of the variety reaches 25.1–32.2 tons per hectare, and when grown on dry land (bara) – 159–232 centners per hectare.
TERSKY EARLY is characterized by a uniform ripening and good transportability. Mature fruits retain their market qualities for 20–25 days after harvest, which is convenient for storage and marketing. It is recommended to maintain optimal planting density and consider the best predecessors, such as potatoes, cabbage, and legumes, to achieve maximum productivity.
