Watermelon Karnakata F1

Watermelon Karnakata F1 — an early-maturing hybrid of Italian origin, intended for cultivation in southern regions. The vegetation period is 60-80 days, allowing for a quick harvest. The plant features strong, compact bushes with good leaf coverage, which contributes to resilience against adverse weather conditions, including drought and minor temperature drops. The hybrid also exhibits high resistance to diseases such as fusarium and anthracnose, ensuring a stable yield even at high planting density.

The fruits of Karnakata F1 are large, round or elongated, with a characteristic striped rind of white color and medium thickness. The weight of a single watermelon reaches 10-16 kg. The flesh is a rich reddish-purple hue, crisp and juicy, with a fine texture and high sugar content — about 12% — giving the watermelon a sweet and pleasant taste. The seeds are small and dark brown, a distinctive feature of this hybrid.

The dense rind ensures excellent transportability and allows the fruits to maintain quality during long-term storage and transportation over long distances. Due to these characteristics, Karnakata F1 is popular among farmers who appreciate its high yield, disease and weather resistance, as well as its outstanding taste and attractive fruit appearance.
