Tango

Tango F1 watermelon is a mid-season hybrid of the Crimson Sweet type with a maturity period of 73 to 92 days. The plant is vining with a long main tendril and medium-sized, dark green, deeply dissected leaves. The fruits have an elliptical shape with a thick rind, colored light green with wide green stripes. Fruit mass varies from 3.6 to 11 kg depending on growing conditions, while the flesh differs in bright red or reddish-pink color, medium density, and a very sweet taste due to high sugar content. Tango F1 is distinguished by high yield and drought resistance, making it suitable for cultivation in various regions with different climatic conditions. In the North Caucasus and Lower Volga regions, the yield of marketable fruits reaches 181-372 c/ha with irrigation and 202-330 c/ha on dry land, exceeding the indicators of standard varieties. Seeds are small and brown in color, and the plant has resistance to fusarium, which contributes to a stable and high-quality harvest. For successful cultivation of Tango F1 watermelon, it is recommended to plant it on light, well-prepared soils with the addition of organic and mineral fertilizers.
