Melina F1 watermelon is an ultra-early hybrid of French selection by Clause company, designed to produce a stable yield within a short period. The vegetative period is approximately 60 days from seedling transplant, allowing early enjoyment of juicy and aromatic fruits. The plant features a balanced and compact structure, with a well-developed root system ensuring efficient nutrient uptake from the soil, as well as dense foliage that reliably protects the fruit from sunburn.

The fruits of Melina watermelon have an elongated ellipsoid shape with a characteristic striped, medium-thickness rind, providing good durability and enabling long-distance transportation without quality loss. The average fruit weight ranges from 9 to 11 kg. The flesh is bright red, moderately firm, crisp, and juicy, with low seed content, absence of veins or cavities. Sugar content reaches 10-11%, imparting a sweet, tender flavor with a distinct aroma.

Melina F1 hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases such as anthracnose and fusarium wilt, as well as resilience to adverse weather conditions, including heavy rains and temperature fluctuations. The watermelon is adaptable to various soil types, except those with frequent waterlogging. Due to its qualities, it is ideal for fresh consumption, pickling, and processing, while maintaining high nutritional value and marketability.
