Sakura

The 'Sakura' watermelon variety is a medium-early hybrid with a maturation period from germination to fruit harvest of about 74-97 days. The plant is trailing with green dissected leaves, which promotes good development and high yield. The fruits have an elliptical shape with a green background and dark green stripes, giving them an attractive appearance.

Fruit mass varies from 3 to 10 kg, and the flesh is a rich red color, distinguished by excellent taste and high sweetness. Seeds are small, dark brown with a pattern, which is a characteristic feature of this variety. The Sakura watermelon is characterized by high yield, which reaches 172-382 centners per hectare when grown on dry land (barzha), and 216-427 centners per hectare with irrigation.

The variety is resistant to short-term temperature drops and fusarium, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the North Caucasus region. Due to its characteristics and resistance, the Sakura watermelon is suitable for growing in open ground using mulch, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest.
