Watermelon Medovik

Technical Profile of the Medovik Watermelon

The "Medovik" watermelon, developed by Agrofirma Aelita, is the product of focused selection by specialists N. V. Nastenko, V. G. Kachaynik, and A. V. Kandoba. This cultivar is engineered to balance steady maturation cycles with consistent fruit morphology.

Vegetative Cycle and Fruit Anatomy

The primary technical advantage of this variety is its defined growth window: it reaches technical maturity within 70-80 days post-germination. This predictability is essential for precise harvest scheduling. The round-elongated shape of the fruit ensures efficient internal structural integrity, which plays a key role in reducing bruising and damage during transit.

Practical Performance Metrics

• Yield Characteristics: The fruit weight range of 5.0–8.0 kg serves as the ideal standard for retail logistics. Fruits within this weight class are significantly easier to palletize and transport compared to larger or irregular varieties.
• Selection Stability: As the patent holder and originator, Agrofirma Aelita ensures that the seed stock maintains strict genetic adherence to the described specifications. The internal fiber structure is developed to withstand commercial distribution while maintaining marketability.

Choosing "Medovik" is a strategic decision for growers aiming for a reliable harvest cycle. It offers a combination of uniform sizing and standard weight parameters, which are crucial for minimizing logistical overhead and maximizing market turnover.
