GREEN TORPEDO

Green Torpedo is a mid-early watermelon variety with a maturation period of 85 to 95 days. The plants are of medium strength with a main vine of medium length, which ensures ease of cultivation and care. Sowing for seedlings is recommended at the end of April, and transplanting into open ground at the end of May or beginning of June, when the seedlings reach 30-35 days of age. For better support, the plants are tied to a trellis up to 50 cm high.

The fruits of the variety have an elongated cylindrical or oval shape with a dark green coloration and a characteristic smoky bloom. The watermelon rind is thick and strong, which significantly improves the shelf life and transportability of the fruits, allowing them to maintain freshness during transport and storage. The mass of one fruit varies from 3.5 to 6 kg, which makes them convenient for consumption and sale.

The watermelon flesh is bright red, sweet, and tender, with a pleasant taste and juiciness. Due to its qualities, the Green Torpedo variety is ideal for growing in open ground in the central region and the south, ensuring a stable yield of tasty and high-quality fruits.
