Madaga watermelon is a new Thai hybrid with an unusual shape and fruit coloration. It features a dense, crunchy, and very sweet flesh with a sugar content up to 13-14%, ensuring a pleasant taste and high product quality. The seeds inside the fruit are very few, making them especially convenient for consumption.
Madaga watermelon fruits have an average weight of 3 to 5 kg, allowing them to be conveniently used both for personal consumption and for sale. Due to the characteristics of the flesh and rind, this watermelon is excellent for long-term storage, maintaining its taste qualities and freshness for an extended period.
The plant belongs to the medium-vining type with high growth vigor and good leaf coverage. The watermelon matures on average in 90 days from sowing, making it a mid-early hybrid. The fruits have an elongated shape, dark green coloration with thin light green stripes, and bright red flesh. Madaga is intended for table use and is well-suited for cultivation in garden and vegetable plot conditions.
