Odyssey grape is a table grape variety obtained by crossing the varieties 'Voskovoy' and 'Kishmish Novocherkassky'. It is distinguished by its very early ripening period, which lasts 95-100 days, allowing harvest to be collected as early as late July — early August. The vines have medium growth vigor, root well, and the shoots lignify almost 100%. The variety's cold resistance reaches -25°C, ensuring its resilience to low temperatures.
The clusters are large, weighing 500 to 700 grams, and the berries are large and very large, oval-egg-shaped, with a deep pink color and a dense bloom. The berries have a very sweet taste with a slight muscat aroma and a crisp texture. The average berry weight is about 8 grams. The variety is characterized by good sugar accumulation, making it especially attractive to consumers.
Odyssey is highly resistant to fungal diseases such as mildew, oidium, and gray rot, but preventive treatments are recommended to maintain plant health. The grape has high commercial qualities and tolerates transportation well, making it popular both for personal consumption and commercial cultivation.
