Grockanka — this is an early table grape variety, distinguished by high yield and good transportability. Originating from Yugoslavia, it ripens in the first decade of August, allowing harvest at the beginning of the season. The vines are vigorous, with five-lobed leaves, well-developed and not overly dense, which promotes good air circulation and reduces disease risk. The cane lignifies very well, which is especially important for under-cover cultivation, where this variety is successfully grown.
The clusters of Grockanka are medium-sized, conical in shape, weighing from 400 to 600 grams, medium density, and free of berry splitting. The berries are oval, white in color with a muscat aroma, giving them particular attractiveness and refined taste. The flesh is firm, juicy, and crisp, with an edible skin, making this grape convenient for fresh consumption. The sugar content of the fruit is approximately 17.7 g/100 cm3, acidity — 6.8 g/dm3, which ensures a harmonious flavor and high tasting rating.
The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness and resistance to oidium, as well as moderate drought tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. Yield reaches 124 centners per hectare, which is a high indicator for table grape varieties. Due to its commercial qualities and taste characteristics, Grockanka is ideal for cultivation in fruit orchards and on private plots.
