SIBERIAN SIZE

Siberian Size is a climbing green bean with record-breaking long pods up to 50 cm and more. Plants reach a height of 2.5 m and require support, yet they easily fit into garden beds as a decorative garden element or a living fence.

The fruit pods have a rich taste: green, snake-like pods without a parchment layer and coarse fibers retain juiciness and aroma. They are suitable for cooking both boiled and fried; they can also be frozen or canned. At the milk stage, beans are especially tender, with protein content exceeding fish products and approaching that of meat.

One plant yields up to 4.5 kg, while in open ground the variety gives up to 7–8 kg/m². Harvest begins 55–60 days after planting, usually in July–August, and continues until the first frost. The plant is unpretentious to growing conditions, resistant to major diseases, and enriches the soil with nitrogen due to air fixation.
