YUNNAN

Yunna vigne «Yunnan» is an annual climbing plant up to 2.5 m tall, grown as a source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Regular consumption can help lower blood sugar levels, normalize intestinal function, prevent edema, stabilize blood pressure, and increase hemoglobin.

The beans of this crop reach technical maturity 60‑67 days after germination. They are straight with a beak, green in color, without a parchment layer and fiber, up to 60 cm long and about 1 cm wide. The weight of 100 beans ranges from 2400 g to 2700 g, while the weight of 1000 seeds is between 108 g and 130 g. Yield reaches 1.4‑1.6 kg/m². The beans retain their color and shape after processing, making them suitable for culinary use, canning, and freezing.

Moderate conditions are required for cultivation: the plant does not like waterlogging but tolerates soil drying, and needs support. Fruit parts are best used immediately after harvest or frozen, as they are not suitable for long-term storage. The harvest season starts in July and continues until November. Vigna is also valued for the possibility of consuming green beans, seeds, and leafy mass as food, while the residue can be used as feed for farm animals.
