Pasta Green is a variety of vigna distinguished by its medium maturity and good yield. The medium-sized plant grows to a height of 120 to 150 cm and has a bushy form with pods located high up. The time from full germination to technical maturity is approximately 50-55 days, allowing for a quick transition to harvest.
The beans of this variety have a diameter of 5-6 mm, a uniform red color with a white hilum, and can reach a length of up to 1 m. They are juicy and tender in taste, and the absence of a parchment layer makes them easier to process compared to asparagus beans. Thanks to mechanized harvesting and high yield (about 246.8 tons/hectare), Pasta Green is suitable for both home use and industrial production.
The variety is widely used in cuisine: it can be used in sweet dishes, gingerbread, ice cream, and even in Chinese cuisine. Vigna Pasta Green is also well-preserved during canning and freezing, making it a versatile ingredient for various recipes. Thanks to its drought resistance and ability to grow quickly until autumn, this variety is suitable for growing in all regions.
