Vigna PASTA GREEN

Efficient choice for industrial processing

The «Pasta Green» Vigna variety, developed by the Vavilov Institute of Plant Genetic Resources (VIR), stands out for its high processability. Featuring a bush-type growth habit with a height of 120–150 cm, it eliminates the need for trellising, which significantly lowers production costs and simplifies field management.

Practical application in agriculture

This variety is specifically tailored for commercial processing. Its tender bean flavor and structural integrity make it a preferred raw material for canning facilities and producers of frozen vegetable medleys.

• Optimized cultivation: The bush growth habit allows for denser planting patterns and easier mechanized inter-row maintenance.
• Freezing performance: The beans maintain their texture and quality throughout the flash-freezing process, ensuring a high-grade final product.
• Proven genetics: Sourced from Russia’s leading genetic research center, this variety ensures stable yields and high nutritional standards.

For operations focused on contract farming for canning or frozen food lines, «Pasta Green» addresses the need for a low-maintenance, high-yield crop. It is designed for consistency, ease of harvest, and excellent post-processing results, making it a reliable choice for professional growers.
