TENDER

Vigna "Tender" is a mid-season green bean variety with long pods reaching up to 1 m in length and about 2 cm in thickness. The beans are juicy, tender, and maintain their flavor even after long storage: under proper conditions, they can be stored for 2–3 weeks without quality loss.

The variety is characterized by high productivity – yield reaches up to 1.7 kg/m², making it one of the most high-yielding on the market. To achieve maximum output, sufficient moisture and nutrients must be provided to the plants. Vigna is unpretentious in care: it tolerates transportation well, is resistant to common diseases and drought, and can be grown both on a commercial scale and at home.

Growing "Tender" begins with sowing seeds in mid-May (or via seedlings in April). Planting scheme – 10 cm between plants and 30–40 cm along the row. During the season, 3–4 loosening and 1–2 fertilizations are recommended: the first – nitrogen-phosphorus after germination, the second – phosphorus-potassium before budding. Plants are tied to vertical support so stems do not break and fruits develop freely. Bean picking begins 8–10 days after fruit set; frequent harvesting of young pods stimulates the formation of new ones.
