Viburnum 'AURORA' – a compact decorative shrub reaching up to 1–1.8 m in height and approximately the same width, maturing in about ten years. Its crown has a spherical or slightly spreading shape, while the plant maintains neat dimensions, making it ideal for planting as single bushes or small groups.
The leaves of 'AURORA' are wide, obovate, 6–9 cm long and 5–6.5 cm wide. They are dark green in summer, and in autumn turn bright orange-red, gradually transitioning to a deep burgundy shade. The shrub is distinguished by a strong scent of early flowers: in March–April, shield-shaped inflorescences with light pink petals appear, giving the shrub a delicate and elegant appearance.
'AURORA' is valued for its slow growth, frost hardiness, and ability to adapt to various soil conditions – from acidic to neutral, moist and well-drained. The plant prefers sunny locations but also grows successfully in partial shade. Thanks to its decorative appearance and fragrant inflorescences, it is often used for decorating stone beds, retaining walls, and as an accent element in garden compositions.
