Description ELIXIR
Red Viburnum "Elixir" is a medium-sized perennial shrub, reaching a height of 2.5–3 m, with sturdy upright shoots and a dense, branched crown. The leaves are large and serrated, while the flowers have a bright red hue, creating a decorative effect in garden ensembles.

The fruits of this variety are large berries weighing 0.8–1 g, dark red in color, juicy and aromatic. At the beginning of ripening, they have a characteristic bitterness that softens by the end of August–September. The berries contain beneficial substances that aid in the prevention of ENT organ diseases, stimulate the digestive system, and help lower blood pressure.

"Elixir" is distinguished by high yield: with good care, the bush can produce up to 15 kg of berries per year. Fruiting begins in the third–fourth year after planting. The variety is frost-resistant, tolerates a moderate climate well, and has good winter hardiness. It also demonstrates resistance to major diseases and low susceptibility to viburnum moth.

Viburnum berries are used in cooking and folk medicine: juices, infusions, jams, compotes, and jellies are made from them, and they are added to tea. Thanks to their bright color and long retention on branches, the bush is often used as a decorative element in gardens and parks.
