Viburnum «Shukshinskaya»: Combining Ornamental Value and Fruit Quality

The «Shukshinskaya» variety, brought to you by FANCA, occupies a unique position in the category of ornamental berry shrubs. Unlike common wild viburnum, this variety offers reliable development and consistent fruit traits, making it a standout choice for those looking to combine landscape aesthetics with practical yield.

Nutritional Value and Processing

The core advantage of «Shukshinskaya» lies in its fruit composition. With a Vitamin C content of 50-70 mg per 100g, these bright red berries, weighing 0.5-0.8 g each, are superior for health-conscious growers. While many ornamental shrubs are purely decorative, «Shukshinskaya» is specifically optimized for processing, yielding high-quality juices, jams, and preserves.

Strengths and Considerations

• Ornamental Appeal: The shrub provides striking visual interest throughout the season with its vibrant red clusters.
• Functional Benefit: High vitamin levels ensure your harvest translates into a healthy end product.
• Cultivation: As a selected variety, it performs best with standard horticultural care and effective pest management.
