Vegetable Pea MISTI

Stable Yields in a Tight Schedule

When planning a continuous harvest cycle, 'Misty' from Van Waveren Saaten serves as a reliable foundation for early sowings. This vegetable pea is a classic choice for those who value consistency over risky experimentation. Its primary advantage is predictability: the 50–60 day vegetation period allows for precise scheduling of field operations and processing logistics.

Agronomy and Harvesting Efficiency

Managing this variety is straightforward. The medium-sized seeds and the blunt shape of the pod make 'Misty' highly efficient during harvest. The 5–6 cm long pods mature uniformly, which is critical for minimizing losses during mechanical harvesting. Experience shows that the variety responds well to standard agricultural practices without requiring complex specialized maintenance or unconventional feeding programs.

• Predictable Vegetation: Consistently matures within the 50–60 day window.
• Seed Quality: Medium size facilitates easier sorting, freezing, and canning processes.
• German Quality: Origins linked to Van Waveren Saaten ensure high control standards over planting material.

For a grower focused on bottom-line results, it is essential that the originators — Pure Line Seeds and their team of breeders — have instilled a genetic resilience that truly shows in the field. Emergence is uniform, and the plant load is well-balanced, ensuring a stable yield of marketable produce per hectare. If you are looking for a reliable pea variety that gets the job done without surprises, 'Misty' is a solid choice.
