Vegetable Pea Design

Consistent Yields for the Fresh Market

The «Design» (Дезайн) pea variety from the Belgian breeder Agro seeds service BVBA is designed for growers who prioritize early-season market entry. With a vegetative period of 50–60 days, this variety allows for a quick field turnaround, which is vital for producers managing intensive crop rotations.

Agronomic Advantages

• Pathogen Resistance: A defining feature of this variety is its genetic resistance to Fusarium wilt. For commercial farms, this translates into reduced fungicide requirements and mitigated risks of crop failure during the critical early growth stages.
• Premium Quality Standards: As a large-seeded variety, «Design» consistently meets the demands of modern retail, where size and uniformity drive marketability. The pods, reaching 8–10 cm in length, are optimized for both manual picking and mechanical harvesting, ensuring high efficiency during the harvest window.

Operational Utility

«Design» is widely adopted by farms focusing on the fresh produce segment. The pedigree, backed by original developers including Agro Seed Research and Alforex Seeds, ensures that the variety remains reliable across various soil conditions. Producers select this hybrid when they need to secure a predictable yield on land prone to soil-borne pathogens. By integrating «Design» into their planting schedule, farmers can ensure a steady supply of high-quality, large-seeded peas while keeping input costs controlled through natural resistance.
