The Ataman dill variety is a late-maturing variety with a period of 50-55 days from germination to harvesting the greens, and 75-90 days for producing spices. The plant is compact, medium height, 60-80 cm, with an elevated medium-sized rosette of leaves of blue-green color with a bluish tint. The dill has excellent taste qualities, making it versatile for use both fresh and as a spice.
The variety is characterized by high yield: for greens it is from 1.7 to 3.5 kg per square meter, and for spices - up to 4.2 kg per square meter. Ataman is characterized by a long period of marketability and a high percentage of standard product. Moreover, the dill has strong aroma and increased content of vitamins and essential oils, which increases its value as a food product.
Ataman dill is unpretentious in care and adapts well to various growing conditions. It prefers well-lit, fertile soils with weakly acidic or neutral pH (6-7). Thanks to these qualities, the variety is suitable for growing in open ground, as well as on a balcony or windowsill, which makes it convenient for various types of gardening.
