Mount Shasta Rose is a snow-white tea-hybrid rose with large, fully double blooms consisting of 20-25 large petals. The elongated buds, about 6 cm long, open into cup-shaped flowers 8-12 cm in diameter with a high center and gracefully curled petal edges. The flowers have a delicate, mild fragrance that adds extra appeal. During its blooming period, which lasts from June to September, the white color may slightly change, creating an effect of living play of light and shadow.
Mount Shasta rose bushes have strong, upright growth and reach heights of 90 to 120 cm. The leaves are rough-textured and gray-green, which enhances the purity and brilliance of the flowers. The rose is highly resistant to diseases, frost-tolerant, and drought-tolerant, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including Ukraine. For maintaining plant health and decorative appeal, winter protection is recommended.
Due to its beauty and sturdy stems with single large blooms, Mount Shasta rose is widely used in floristry, especially for creating wedding bouquets and other elegant arrangements. Its abundant and prolonged blooming allows enjoyment of its splendor throughout the summer. Bare-root seedlings are about 40 cm tall and easily establish themselves in the garden, becoming a true ornament of any flowerbed.
