Tulip Supri Jewel

Elegance meets resilience: The Supri Ewel tulip

Lily-flowered tulips are the aristocrats of the bulb world, and Supri Ewel perfectly embodies this prestigious reputation. With its sharply pointed, slightly reflexed petals, this variety creates a sophisticated silhouette reminiscent of a blooming lily, making it a favorite for both landscape designers and floral artists seeking high-end aesthetic appeal.

The vibrant, deep orange hue of the petals brings a unique energy to any spring garden. As a mid-season bloomer, Supri Ewel fills the critical timing gap between early botanical tulips and late-flowering Triumph varieties, ensuring a continuous display of color.

Technical performance and disease resistance

Beyond its striking appearance, Supri Ewel is engineered for performance. While many decorative varieties are prone to environmental stress, this hybrid shows remarkable hardiness, specifically bred to withstand common pathogens that often plague bulbous ornamental crops:

• Fungal resistance: High resistance to Phomopsis and Phomosis, protecting the plant's vascular integrity.
• Leaf health: Proven immunity to downy mildew (Peronospora), ensuring the foliage remains lush throughout the growth cycle.
• Rust protection: Excellent resistance to sunflower rust, maintaining the plant's health even in damp or humid spring conditions.

The variety features a medium stem height, which provides structural integrity and excellent resistance to wind damage, eliminating the need for support stakes. This makes Supri Ewel an ideal candidate for formal borders, flower beds, and mass planting projects.

Market positioning

In today's market, Supri Ewel occupies a niche of 'reliable premium.' Unlike volatile showcase hybrids, it balances high aesthetic standards with the biological stability required for professional gardening. Horticulturalists favor the variety for its predictable flowering timeline and robust immune system, while the cut-flower industry values its post-harvest longevity and striking color, which remains highly sought after during the spring peak season.
