Petunia MARVELS OF BOLSHOY KROPOTOV

A New Standard in Russian Floriculture

The petunia variety "Chudesa Bolshogo Kropotova" (Miracles of Bolshoye Kropotovo) is a product of advanced breeding research conducted by the N.K. Koltsov Institute of Developmental Biology. Developed by A.V. Shirokova, O.N. Krutius, and A.V. Kuzmina, this cultivar is engineered for high adaptive capacity, making it a reliable choice for diverse landscape projects.

Practical Application in Landscaping

The primary advantage of this variety lies in its versatility. It is engineered to meet both commercial and residential landscaping needs. Key application scenarios include:

• Mass Bedding: Its high phenotypic uniformity makes it ideal for large-scale floral displays, where consistency in bloom timing and plant habit is crucial for visual harmony.
• Container and Planter Use: The cultivar is highly adaptable to restricted soil volumes. It thrives in hanging baskets and urban containers, provided that basic fertilizer regimes and irrigation protocols are maintained.
• Landscape Resilience: Designed to withstand the climatic fluctuations characteristic of the region, the petunia maintains a high decorative value throughout the growing season, resisting common environmental stressors.

For optimal performance, professional growers should ensure proper spacing to allow for adequate airflow, which prevents fungal pathogens often associated with high-density petunia plantings. While the variety is versatile, providing a consistent nutritional program and full-sun exposure will maximize the bloom duration and flower density, essential for high-impact urban greening projects.
